LoadProng (formerly known as LoadPod), the nation's leader in iPod loading services, came into existence in May of 2004 when Bill Palmer began searching for an iPod loading service. But because the iPod loading industry hadn't been invented yet, he decided to go ahead and invent it, building his own service from the ground up with the customer in mind.
Instead of asking customers to box up their fragile CD collection and ship it across the country to someone they'll never meet face to face, Bill decided that LoadProng would simply send a local rep to meet with the customer, pick up the equipment, load the CDs onto the iPod locally, and return it all to the customer in the shortest period of time possible.
Rather than giving the customer their music back on several DVDs (or worse, trying to sell the customer an expensive and unwanted external hard drive), Bill determined that LoadProng would actually load the customer's music directly onto the iPod, where it belongs. After all, loading music onto the iPod is what the customer is paying to avoid in the first place. In recognition of the fact that many iPod users enjoy their iPod's auto-sync feature, LoadProng also loads the customer's music into iTunes on their computer at the user's request, keeping auto-sync intact and ensuring that the end result is just the same as if you had done all the work yourself -- except that you didn't have to lift a finger during the process.
